Mary O'Brien Fine Art

Originally from Ireland and now based in Boston, I studied fashion design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.  It was during this time that I was introduced to oil painting by artist Dustin Neece, and this began my love affair with painting.

I have recently been focusing on capturing the stunning scenery of my native home, which is a constant source of inspiration, particularly the west coast.  I strive to capture the desolate beauty of the landscape in that area, which has a place in my heart like no other.

I like to paint what I have an emotional connection to.  My hope is that those who see my work will feel their own emotional connection to it.
